Since I am currently earning my income as a web developer my gear is pretty essential and I have a few unique items that are crucial to my productivity. This page has an up to date list of the gear I am using along with my current wish list of items I plan to purchase.
Tech Stuff
15.4-inch Macbook Pro
I opted for a 15 inch and the pro model of the Macbook for the 2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7 with Retina display. Doing graphic design is not uncommon for me so the extra screen size and processing power really helps.
AOC i1659fwux 16-inch
An additional monitor is essential for me to do web development. At one point I had two of these but have recently downgraded to just the one.
Wifi Extender
I started using one of these after having spotty wifi in certain hotels and locations. I typically pack a 5 foot USB male to female cord so that I can move this extender around the room to where it works best. This is a life saver although it takes up more room than a direct to usb alternative.
BookBook Macbook Case
This case really boarders on hipster but its something I absolutely love. The reason I picked this case is it makes my Macbook blend in a little more and almost appear as a sketchbook or journal type book. This gives me a lot of peace of mind when I need to leave it laying around in my room, I will typically put it under a coffee table book when or something similar when im not in my room.

Luggage Stuff
Samsonite Omni Pc
One of the highest reviewed carry on hard shell suit cases on Amazon currently and at a pretty great price. I got the silver color because it was on sale for about $75 compared to the other colors at $99.
Braided Security Cable & Lock
Another uncommon item on my list but one that has given me a ton of piece of mind. This combined with a hardshell case can allow you to lock your case to something big in your room with your valuables inside. I have also looped it around dresser drawers in a few shady hotels.
Zebra Mini Ballpoint Pen
When you end up needing to fill out a customs form and all the pencils and pens are taken and no one wants you lend you theirs you realize having a pen on you in any airport is pretty crucial. The above situation happened to me 3 times before I made this purchase.
Incase Range Backpack
This backpack has lasted me about 5 years now and has been my go to bag for commuting everyday and carrying on the plane for any trip. It has some easy to access areas for stuff like passport, money or charging cables. There are better bags but I like this one a lot and have not brought my self to upgrade.
